Damn that was hard

FastCletus
I hope I am not the only impatatient bastard on here.  I SOOOO want to ride this weekend.  Only obstacle was engine swap cb 750 K to F.  WEll I arranged for some help to come on sunday, but I want to ride on sunday.  So guess what I did??
Yep tried to get F engine out solo.  I did it.  But not happy with myself.  Nice nissan front lever.  Broke! Damn!

Here is what I learned
A.  Dont do this task solo
B.  Think it would be easier to remove front clip ons, head light, maybe even tires.

Really wish someone would/could invent a way to remove engines easier

How did you make it so hard? The DOHC engines are too easy to change!!!!! I do them by myself, and do not break a sweat. I just put the bike on the center stand, then put my bike lift/jack under the oil pan, and remove the motor mounts, and the frame tube on the right side below the engine. After that I just roll the engine out the side. Put the engine back by rolling it back in.

Well I guess my first issue was trying to remove it while it was on my lift.  Was hoping to just roll it out.  Ended up just pulling it off lift and rolling it into back yard and laid it down, removed oil pan, and then lifted frame off.
Have a buddy coming over today, so hopefully it will go easier this time

OK ok ok . Mental note that bar underneath the engine comes out.  if you remove that bar the engine removal is a cake walk.  Typical me, always do it the hard way first.  Thanks to my boy Rich for giving me a hand, and some heckling for my errors!
Now just need to put it back together
