I'm with you on this. I saw it and immediately thought it was a converted cruiser. I don't mind a twin so much but it should be something more like a smaller version of the honda fireblade twin. I can't forgive the cruiser look though. Scramblers never looked remotely cruiser-ish.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
