Honda CB 750 1977 Electric problem

Hey there, i was wondering if you guyes have any tips for me !!!!

I just started my cb yeasterday and took it for little spin and when i came back forgot the key in the ignition (im not shure if the ignition was on or off) the after a while i came back and the bike was dead.
So i assumed that i had left the ignition ON and the battery was dead, so i charged it onver night and tried again. But i get no lights and the bike wont start, i took out the wolt meter and traced it to this "start relay"
(i get 13v in but nothing out of it) now im not shure if there should come 13v trough it right away but im assuming that this is broken right ? is there any thing else that could cause this or is the relay broken ?

All tips are wery welcome :)

It's a relay:  it only puts out voltage when it is turned on -- when you hit the starter button.  Do you hear it click (close) when you hit the starter button?  If so, then disconnect it from the battery, leaving it connected to the starter switch, and measure continuity/Ohms across the high current terminals:  should read 0 Ohms/short, when the starter button is closed.

Have you downloaded the Factory Service Manual yet?  It is located on the Home Page of this site, for free...  It has troubleshooting techniques, as well as everything Honda felt was necessary for the professional mechanics to repair, and maintain these bikes.  Clymer makes a pretty good manual, as well, but having both is the best.  The FSM leaves a lot of the basics out, assuming the professional knows it already; the Clymer is more user friendly (used copies can usually be had off oe-Bay for much less than retail, although it is still available from Clymer, online, too).

Check the connections on the back of the fuse box. The soldered connections on these fuse boxs were not very good, and I have seen many fail.
