I'm using all the stock parts and wheels. I was thinking about a 16 x 4 for the rear but I don't think I'll like it with the bobber style I'm going for. One question, are cb750 / cb750a cables the same? And right now I'm concern with the hardtail section, I had to grind the rear right side motor mount to make it match eye to eye, there's a gap on the bottom engine mounts so the spacers don't fit, and the bottom bar is not lined up right...so it makes me question everything? Did you have to do any adjustments to do for your motor to fit? BTW..I know I have or made some spelling / grammar mistakes but please bare with me I bartend at night, look for vintage anything motorcycle and automobile to sell on ebay during the day, I use all sunday to list my items, I also have to box and ship all items on mondays, I have a 13 yr old daugther, 4 1/2 yr old twinn girls, needy wife(), one car so I have to drop off / pick up everybody, plus 2 female cats, a 4 bedroom 2 story house with things to fix, front and back yard grass to cut, teacher meetings, school projects to help with, car and house to maintain, parts to oder for my bike, ect, ect. SOO when I get some time to chat a little...I have to make it QUICK!! Thanks you and I hope you guys understand lol

The only cable different on the A is the clutch cable Other then that they are the same. If, you are having any problems just let Red, and Kate know. they will bend over backwards to make it right.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH  LOL I wish I had the time to check out some of the stuff you guys building or just up too, trust me, sometimes I don't check my emails or touch my bike for days! Thanks for the support Here's a few from yesterday, I'm still waiting on a tail light to match the head light along with a black CycleX throttle pull, rear fender, 4" seat springs, and some other little thing like bungs, ect. I'm just glad I don't have to buy a clutch, clutch lever, clutch cable, and a oil tank So far, I cleaned upped the right side fork, the tripple tree and even took off that fork stopper thing to lock the fork with the key thing lol. I still have more work to do, but for now, it's gonna have to sit for a couple of days As you can see, it's not a Rusty Rat no more..I don't even know what to call it yet BTW, those bar end mirrors are a BITCH to install!

Before I bought the bar end mirrors, I did some research. There was nothing else but bad things about them. So I looked for the cheapest ones I could find, which is $15.00 for the pair on ebay. I only want one for the left side but I also wanted to have some extra parts just incase something went bad. Yep! I broke the left one in about 20 min to figure it out(they came with no instructions) and another 20ish to install without damaging it (using the right side on the left side). Like they say, you get what you pay for. They stay in place and are nice but I'm just glad I did my research first!

Hey, how you guy's been! Tools, what's up with your matic? I can't belive, it's been almost a month, since I was last here Well, in that time, I bought a 15x3 and a vintage pirelli tire, I also found a vintage G.E. glass light that looks waaayyy better. So far, everthing else is also going the way I plan or better. But before I start welding, I want to have everything there, in place, to not touch it anymore. But my new problem is the FENDER! I'm aiming towards the 4' fender but it feels to small for the tire. I will be shapping it too, but what do you guy's think, 6' fender, 4' fender, find a 5' fender or nothing at all?!? I'm also gonna to wait to replace the forks to a -2 or -1, I'll have to wait until the bike is done, with the motor in it, to find out. In the picture, the forks are -4 and 4 1/2 ground clearence.

Hey Rusty
It's looking real good. I like the smaller fender. It makes that tire look big! I think the -2" forks would be about right. You want the front a little higher then the rear. That way when, you are on it it will level out.
Mortal Vindication is taking a back seat to a few other projects right now. I am trying to finish up a restoration on a Kawasaki 750 LTD, and have been working on my buffet racer. I will be starting a build thread on it soon.

I know what you guy's mean I been thinking about it too, the 6' fender that is lol! To round the coners, on the 6' fender like your or adding a like adge to it. I might be able to make both fenders with the same mounts to swap them or just easy to take off... we'll see.

I decided to go with the small fender. The chrome wheel was also bugging me, and since the wheel had some bad rust that mothers wax or steel wool couldn't handle. I grabed some fine grit sandpaper and spent the last couple of days, cleaning all the parts for the rear wheel, spoke by spoke, including the tire, the new sprocket, brake stay bar, and finally painted it today. Tomorrow, I have nothing planned, so hopefully I can finish the front wheel. If not, here's a picture for now.
