Ignition problems

myTUNES
Hello all forum members, it has been a while since I last posted about my 81 CB750c. I am having electrical problems as of late with him. I had the ignition hot wired together because I kept blowing the toggle switches I was buying. The original key ignition had been removed and wired with a toggle switch before the purchase of the bike so I figured I’d leave it alone, until it kept blowing the toggle switches, as I said I had it hot wired together to give the bike power. Well, I was working on him one day the hot wires touched the front blinker and shorted the ignition out completely. I am thinking that it blew the fuse block. Am I completely wrong in this assessment? Please share some of your mighty knowledge with me before I purchase a new fuse block only to have it still with no power. The bike has a full charge battery, and I can jump start the starter solenoid, but it has no power to any part of the ignition of the bike. Any help will be greatly appreciated fellas.. Thanks again, myTUNES

It sounds like you blew the main fuse. I just use the wire in blade type fuse holders, and replace the main fuse with a blade type 30 amp circuit breaker.

Its actually on the handle bar mounts. I figured it out, i went ahead and bypassed the old fuse block with the glass tubes in favor for the 30 amp blade and wire like you said, i also changed the 30 amp fuse on my soilinoid why i was at it, runs as good as before, nice mod tools1. Thanks again guys, ill be back for some winter projects...
