Pull the electric motor, and weld up a bracket to put a CB350 engine in there. Gotta keep it in the family, right? :-)

Nice purchase.  I hope it works, and works well and often.

A friend of my landlord had two Honda Dreams he wanted to sell, so I went to check them out. The dreams were really rough, and I was not interested, but he had two of these sitting by the garage. He was using one, but was willing to let this one go, so we did some trading. I traded him a French MAS 36 WWII rifle that was never fired, and only dropped once for it, and the two dreams. However I do need to replace the 3 phase motor with a straight 220 volt motor. Harbor Freight has one with the 7/8 shaft that turns 1740 RPM for $150.00. The guy I got this from put one on the other compressor, and it is working alright. I also have someone wanting the 3 phase motor, so I can recoup some of the cost.

Looks like the K&N air filter needs to be cleaned and re-oiled.  Is this a project write-up?  Is that why it is not finished yet?

What color scheme do you have planned for it?  Will you be using over-sized pistons?  Are you planning on tearing into the lower end, possibly replacing the crankshaft?  Inquiring minds want to know, Tools!...

Shiny, I think I last saw a compressor like that at a lighthouse -- they used it to operate the steam fog-horn...  Tim -- the Toolman -- Taylor would be proud!  Cheers!
