took another long ride yesterday, and at a little over 100 miles from home I started hearing a strange popping, that sounds a lot like it is coming from the chain below and to the rear of me. My buddy noticed the chain was quite slack looking while I was riding, so we stopped in a bar to let things cool down. Only one beer later, we went out and adjusted the chain using the almost adequate Honda tool kit. Popping lessens but definitely did not go away headed home, taking it easy on the stops and throttle (it is much more noticeable during acceleration and in first and second. Almost home, buddy pulls up and says chain is floppy again. Got home, said screw it and did not mess with it. Re-adjusted chain this morning, it is on the border of replacement I'm sure, noise was less frequent but still prominent. Any ideas? I'm a bit clueless on this one...
