Passenger back rest for a CB750F

Honda Nut
Have a 1975 CB750F. The wife won't ride it unless I put a back rest on it. I have searched e-Bay, etc., and have found sissy bar type back rests that say they fit. The 750F's seat opens up all the way back to the stop light, so I wonder if the sissy bar type seat has enough gap for the seat to clear. By the way, anyone out there have a back rest that will fit for a reasonable price ?

I have the same bike and did see a backrest and rack that allowed you to open up the seat. It was ugly. Some custom saddles have a removeable back rest.

depending on your location I might be able to build you a custom one. Im located in Portland Oregon. My ocupation is metal fabrication and have built a few different motorcycle rack systems and would be willing to build the frame work for a backrest if you cant find anything that will work.

Steve, I have a back rest for a 1982 cb750c that came with the bike. I don't know if it will fit, but it is in very nice shape.
