i know what your talking about but its alright, i try to take criticism well, you'll never learn without it. But i change my mind constantly on this ever changing project that is far from finished anyways, so i certainly don't mind suggestions like yours.

I might just do that though, its not something i had thought about doing, but i had noticed it sat a little high before. I'm actually looking at another front fender right now that's available to me that has more of the cafe look with the support bars and everything. But it's chrome is pitted pretty bad and is worse than this one so if i go with it i might have to paint it or something, haven't decided yet.

thanks for the suggestion though.

yeah, i'd almost go with a fiberglass shorty fender on the front..  the fender that's on it looks old school but the bike is taking more of a ... well i don't wanna say new school, but... period era race bike look to it.. it would be cool to make it look like a track bike of the day.. i'm debating on doing that with my old suzuki...  my cb750 is going to be a straight up cafe racer..

Re: Progression of my 82 cb750F

Finally got done tackling my carbs: new fuel o-rings, air-cut off valves, and gaskets.

got some help from my friends over at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center (please do not attempt to contact these guys, this was a personal favor) to cut me some new gaskets with their laser using AutoCAD, these things are sweet and didn't cost me anything but a bit of time, thanks guys!

and naturally i had to throw a bit of style on my carburetors before i put the back together, also i cleaned them thoroughly.

Got out to ride today for the first time in almost 3 months, its in the 60's but it felt so good to be riding again i didn't care. All my carb leakage issues are resolved and its nice to feel like im going to get thrown from it again. Thanks for all your help on that guys.

Lowered the front fender about 3/4 of an inch, i think it looks a lot better, thanks for the suggestion.

I really Like your bike. Keep up the good work.
What kind af master cylinder did you use for front brakes. I have an 81 750C and when I tried to put my clubmanbars on the brake line was pushing into my gauge cluster.

Thanks; It is the stock Master cylinder, although I'd like to replace it because i worry about the angle (no problems yet), but i just angled my bars so the points set right above the forks which left enough clearance so everything rolls out just behind my gauges.

Love the bike and how it's progressed! Color choice is excellent!! Also, really like the seat! What kind of seat is it, is it retail or did you customize it yourself?

I'm thinking about doing a similar project and would love to see some pics of how you attached the seat/rear. Did you have to do any changes to the frame?

Re: Progression of my 82 cb750F

sorry, i've been kind of out of it for awhile, been a rough year.

yeah the 82' was just signifying the model year, but it's no longer there. lol

I wish i had kept track of updating this as i went, but again, this year got kind of crazy on me.

But here's this:

that's the most up to date, and probably will be for awhile, no monies to put into it this winter :(

But i'll try to sum it up; put new ignition coils on (dyna), new head gasket, did some fiber work on the tail, and then lopped off the same amount from the back, all lights are recessed now (more pictures coming), new sealed battery, uhhh some more i'm sure. And designed and cut new graphics (obviously)

Hopefully i'll be able to get back to this more frequently soon.

Also, i'm not the best at upholstery (or much of anything), but i did what i could. It's marine vinyl, so it withstands gas and oil and what not. I have plenty of fabric left over so hopefully i'll get someone to do a professional job soon. Oh, i almost forgot, when i did the fiberglass for the two-up i left a cavity small enough to put some things in. James Bond style; needle and thread, basic first aid, a magnesium stick and flint, and a zippo (i know that kind of cancels the other out but who cares lol).

again, pics soon.
