Truck
CADD drawings are easy.... just need the dimensions...
It's only illegal if you get caught.

If at first you don't succeed, use more lighter fluid

Hi I have just been going threw posts and came across this one on your CVs with pods.  Is it still running good? Did u have to make any other changes? Ever find out awht kind of pods they are.

Thanks for any help. I just bought a 81 cb750 custom and would love to add pods but keep running into bad stories.  Or maybe it's just puritan's that don't like change.  Anyway, thanks for any feedback.

The best way I can answer that question is to repost my comment on how the bike was doing.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

But....as far as giving up...welp.

Despite the fact that the plugs are reading a little rich, the bike overheated to the point of the starter barely being able to turn it over. Measured the oil pan temp and got 320*f !

Back to the drawing board. The bike starts great and runs like a scalded dog, it's just seriously overheating. Annoyed is an understatement.

Honestly, if I had time/money to work on the bike right now, I'd toss on a rack of stock carbs and a stock airbox. You can't beat Honda-stock for reliability. Running pods on mechanically operated carbs is one thing, but CV's just aren't engineered to tolerate it. You can get lucky and find a sweet spot, then the weather will change and you're screwed.

Pods only have 1 advantage: easy carb access.

But with stock parts, you never need to access the carbs in the first place.

The pods are just your typical ebay junkers. Nothing special, really. Push on 'em too hard and the filter cone falls off the mounting boot. lol
