Slipping clutch?

alehman
I haven't had any real issues with the bike for a while, but yesterday I changed my handlebars to low-ish clubmans, and now I notice that when I yank on the throttle, the clutch slips. I probably wouldn't take the bike on the highway with this degree of slippage. I'm guessing that the re-routing of the clutch cable has somehow left my clutch not fully engaged, because this problem began immediately after installing the bars.

Anyone know how I could adjust the clutch or cable or really how to proceed here?

I'd start at the clutch adjustment at the handlebar. Give yourself at least 1/4'' of slack there. Could be a case of a binding cable also. Double check for kinks.

If it worked before, and you did not move the adjusters, then the cable is routed in a bind. Double check your routing.
