Smokey exhaust

matakky
Hi Guys,
I Started the old girl yesterday and she began to smoke suddenly from the exhaust, this was unusual as she doesn't normaly. I then noticed a seepage of oil around the engine exhaust port of the no2 exhaust oulet. Bit concerned as im not sure what may have gone wrong inside?? I had been adjusting the cam belt tension before but i dont think this would have caused anything?

Any help/advice would be greatly received

Mat

Might be a valve guide seal has went bad from sitting, and age. They are just little rubber caps on the valve stems. Fortunately they are easy to replace if that's what it is. I would do a compression check to make sure it is not rings first.

It was White, i think tools might be on the right track with valve seals leaking, going to pull the spark plugs out and see what state they are in

White smoke is usually caused by water or condensation. Has it been damp in your area or really cool in the mornings?
Black is too much fuel and blue is burning oil.
