I guess, so. But if, you run across a guy with a really low matic with the kickstand on the right side, and a shiny seat that says "Lester" Tell him I said "Duh Huh"

I hope I can go…my bosses never approve december vacation days…I may just have to be "sick". Probably won't have the bike ready in time, I want to sort out all the electrical issues so I don't end up being the guy on the side of the road watching his ride burn.

If, you do, be sure to get pictures.

That's a given! If I get to go, I'm brining the compact, the bridge camera, and the DSLR with all the lenses! Last car show I went to I snapped around 1100 pics. (NOT spray and pray, they were all carefully composed pics) Amateur photographer (with some gallery shows and many sales under my belt) is my other expensive hobby.

I'm working hard to try and get the '79 cafe' ready for the show. I don't care if its in primer, just want to be sure its functioning at 100%.

Me too, I don't have time to make it pretty, but I'd like a working speedo, wiring that doesn't get hot, and carbs that don't pee on my engine block! I want those things fixed, then an oil change, brake fluid flush (don't like the way my fluid looks right now) and chain lube and tune up with carb sync. I've been so busy with work and school, I am likely going to hire this job out, much as I don't want to. I just found out half my tools are up in Ocala at my brother's place. I must've mixed up a few moving boxes….doh. Of course, it's my metric tools that are awol. It's probably better letting a pro rip through this job, since there's a time constraint and I'm just a beginner with these machines. I'll be asking everyone there if I get to go whether they have parts and frames for sale that's for sure. I think I want a two up machine AND a cafe. What can I say? The sickness has me. LOL

I hear ya about the two up deal. My wife is 5'11" and has no desire to get on the back of my CBR and i really don't have the back to tolerate two up for any length of time on that thing lol. I'm thinking an early Goldwing might be in my future. They were a pretty badass bike when they were first introduced (before all the old farts realized what a great touring bike it would make  ). Actually, the only bike hotter than the GL when it was first introduced was the KZ1000, which was a bad mofo in it's day. The Goldwing was never meant to be a super tourer, the Japanese marketed it as a hyper-sport bike, but US sales didn't do what they hoped and the Japs did a redesign to suit American tastes...

Well, I got called in to work Saturday, but if it's still going on Sunday, I'm there! I'm going to call and check, the official flier has this as a one day only event on December 3rd.
