T.C. Brothers parts

Anybody ever heard of these guys? I'm looking at a set of forward controls. They look good, and sound likr they are well made.

I've never bought from them, but never heard any bad either. They do look pretty beefy. For $175 it's a bummer you hafta sort out your own linkages.

I am working on an XS 650 that has a set of those on it right now. Have to say I am NOT impressed with them. The ones I got from Cycle one are a lot nicer.

Since I'm putting them on a 900C I have to work out my own linkages anyway due to the longer tranny.

Tools, thnks for the info, I'll check on the other site and see what they got.

Cycle1 doesn't have frame brackets for a twin cam,though.

Truck, I figured you'd probably want to make up your own linkages anyway. Its the only way to get the pedals at the right height for you. But for the price it seems that hardware should be included. Quality heim joints can run $6-8 each! x4 that gets expensive!

Tools, just out of curiosity, what's up with the TC forwards?

Since you can bolt a SOHC engine into a DOHC frame, the bananas that bolt to the engine mounting holes should work on the CB 900.
The TC Bros controls are made out of aluminum, and the pivots are very sloppy. Also they do not fold up, and could not be repaired from accident damage as easy as the Cycle one controls. However now that I have a lathe, I am working on my own design for forward controls.
Here is a link to the hemi joints I used on mine. I just got some DOM tubing that I could tap to M8X1.25.

Here is a link to the M8X1.25 male thread hemi joints I use on my controls. http://www.ebay.com/itm/370544725057 I just get DOM tubing that has the correct internal diameter to thread for the hemi joints.
