Tire Search

I am now about to begin my search for new tires.  The book says Front=3.50H19, my current tire is 100/90/19.   Book says rear tire= 4.25H18...  BUT my rear rim is 17'' and has a 130/90/17 tire.  The bike is an 81 750K.  Wonder if someone changed out the rear wheel or if some of these bikes came with 17'' on rear. It is a spoke rim, looks just like the front.  Any ideas?  Thanks all...

I would get AVON Roadrider 26 tires.

Get the universal AVON Roadrider 26 tire for the front.

If you look at chapter 25 of the Factory Service Manual (81 addendum) it shows a 17 inch rear for your '81 K model bike 4.50H17. So your wheel is correct to the original equipment.

According to various charts I've seen on the net, a 120/90 is the metric replacement for the old 4.50 "inch" tire designation.

Hoosier you are so right.  It is right there in the addendum that 17'' is correct.  I am going to check with the Honda dealer on tires, and also there is Firestone here and a couple others that say they do bike tires.  I don't go around corners too fast, actually I don't go too fast in a straight line either, so a smooth ride is what is most important to me.  And safety of course.
