What is this part called? Where can I find it.

CB750K-1979
1) What is this part called "shock cover?" Where can I get this or a similar part.

2) I want to do this to a 1979 750K. These parts were not on that model. Is it "wrong" to improperly restore a bike year wise? I just like how they look.

purists will say "yes"

modders will say "no"

and most of us will say "do what you want [as long as its safe] -- it's your bike"

I have a 72 CL450 K5 Scrambler that uses them. I believe the CB450 used them too.
They are called a boot and are still available from honda.
Here is a link to Service Honda where you can get a part number but order it locally and you won't have to pay shipping.

If my spelling is correct, it is called a gator.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

CycleXchange.net has the gators for about $20. If you want to go with a cleaning look you can do without the boots and go with just shock caps.
