adding ATF to forks on 82 cb750sc help

pooness
Hello new to chat. Just bought 82 cb750sc. Parked for 3 yrs in barn.
cranked right up with new fuel and battery.
Forks have air system pushed out most fluid
Manual said caps are under pressure from spring
Does anyone know if I have to pull forks off to add
Fluid, ATF, or is it safe to do the job with them still
Attached to bike?
Thanks in advance.

PS. Forks are to be pressurized to 16 lbs.trough air valve
82 cb750sc all original and trying to keep it that way.

Just support the bike from underneath, and do one at a time, and you will be good.

Be careful removing the top caps, as they hold the springs in place, which push the front tire down.  Not really dangerous, just something to realize.  Cheers!
