buying a 72 cb750

carson
im looking at buying a 1972 cb750, they are asking 1,700 for it and it seems to be in decent condition. its got 65,000 miles but its hard to tell if those are original miles. it has recently been painted including the frame. its painted a bright pearl yellow. also it has a custom seat, and vance and hines 4 into 1 exaust. the fenders are a little bit dinged up but arent pitted or rusted. the only rust and pitting is on the wheel spokes. some opinions on if this is a good buy or not would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Well, are you able to actually see it in person? 1700 is a lot to plop down without actually seeing the bike. A v&h is a good exhaust and it looks like a nice bike but you really want to be able to check things out. If everything is in good shape and you like the bike, then 1700 might be good. Maybe counter offer 1500 and see what happens. If it has been listed for a while, they might go for it.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
