15/41 is the stock setup.
Anyways, you can convert. The rear scrocket is no big deal but you have to make sure to get the correct front to fit the splines.
When you change, the 17/48 combo keeps things close to stock. Also, make sure you get a long enough chain. I got a 112 link or something like that and removed the excess. It was simple and the longer chain was on sale for less.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
