Do you have an Ohm meter? I would just pull the plug off the back pf the ignition switch. Then, while working the switch from 'OFF' to 'ON' see what two terminals make that connection.

You bike may be different, but on mine there is one fat red wire that feeds everything on the ignition switch. If you tie everything all together you should be hot wired-IF your switch is the same as mine.

The ON position applies voltage to the coils and the light circuit
The PARK position applies voltage to the tail light only.

If you tie everything together is should light up everything, including the coils.

The HOT inside the switch is whats bad, Has all new brass conectors in plugs, To night I cut aprox. 1inch back on male pug and addded new brass female connectors in it,(thinking maybe wires broke inside cover(plastic),RED wire got warm I noticed then ,So traced it to be bad YA-No (right ?).

"O" I've had a ohm meter for 20 something years still new I never used it but others have on my stuff.
Idiot (ice-pick)tester fo me .or jump to a signal bulb.

I'm hoping my 1st idea will work ,just having to unhook batt. to turn off.(gottem switch I thunk) few days till another switch. 5 wire's can't be all that hard to find....HELP.....
