If, you want the model designation, it would be K-2.

Nothing wrong with an 80 cb 750 K I have an 81 CB 750 K myself, and someday I am going to do something with it. Don't know what yet, but will do something.

Thank you very much. I’m not disappointed, just glad to know it is what he said it is. I noticed that there are additional identifiers after the K, some have numbers like K1, K2 and some have letters like KA. Do you know which one I have? Thanks again.

1. front twin discs
2. it is a DOHC
3. there is particular mark in the crank case - 425 . some parts have 425 embossed on them ( engine parts)

Hi Guys. im new to the forum, looks cool!
i need some help indentifying my CB750
i recently got this CB750 for a steal. im struggling to identify the year and if it is a F,K,C?
the Engine Number is RC01E-2243072 Frame: RC01-012302464

the chaps at Honda here in South Africa have conflicting views. one tells me i have a 1981 CB750F, the other 1982CB750C?

PS:::the guy i got the bike from obviously butchered the sub frame, that crappy metal tower on the back is not standard :-) and the triple tree and clip-ons not standard too.

any help guys? thanks

on my cb750 theres a VIN on the left side of the swingarm and it has CB750F printed on it. I dont know if the 82 SC has that or even if you would have that in South Africa, but its worth a try. It sure does look an awful lot like mine though.

Hello Tools1, I've just purchased a new project now that my bsa is at 80% restored and it's a 82 dohc 750c.
I bought out of impulse because I was looking for a 77 but the $tag was great. For 300 I got it fully intact, not running too well at all but with a title so I was happy with that. I'll be posting pics of the tear down soon but I'm thinking the motor is not a 750c. If you could help that would be stellar. engine code:RC01E-2307845. Any info will help.

There was no particular engine assigned to the "C" model, or any other models. They all used the exact same engine. The only models to ever have their own engine was the F-2 and F-3 from 77-78.

That's good to know, so any 82 manual will do then. Off topic, is it true you can swap piston cylinders/pistons with the 900 as long as you swap to heavy duty rods and a spacer?
