The only things I could see that needed removed, was that windscreen, and years of dust.

That's close to what mine looks like. Reminds me that I still need to do an overhaul on the head.

she's getting new rings,chain,brakes,clutch,paint & a lot of polishing on the aluminum & chrome.sat in a barn since 91.I got it and a 74 750 super sport,which I'm probably gonna sell. it got the same treatment already.will post pics of it soon now that I know how to.thanx for all the help w/that guys. just got a delivery of parts today so guess what I'm doing this weekend.will post more as it progresses.

Must be a 75 F, there was no 74 F.

If the F motor is solid I'd be tempted to use that engine instead. From my limited personal experience, my F would run circles around my K. And the bike the K motor was in was waaay lighter than my F. About 75 lbs lighter.

weekends progress:new steering bearings(tapered),brakes,paint frame,clean up wheels,forks,fenders. tomarrow I start putting the motor together

The 77/78 K motors are based on the 75/76 f motors. In the overall scheme, the 78f motor was actually the strongest with the 78k just a bit behind it.
