stainless steel brake line question

seestheday
Will a stainless steel front brake line made for an SOHC fit on my DOHC (81 cb750K)?

Here is what I'm thinking of getting:

90K KM's, rebuilt head, rebuilt carbs, upgraded valve stem seals

Also, approximately how long should it be?  My current front brake line is too long with my flat bars, but I'm going to put superbike bars on the bike soon (my bars hit my tank right now and I want the turning radius back).

I might end up getting a custom length made locally.

I measured what would be ideal for my current bars and it came to 41 inches.  Does that sound long?  Maybe I'm routing it incorrectly?

I always get mine made up at a local company (Tompkins Ind) here in Kansas City. I always take the bike, and we bend the fittings to fit, cut the line to length, and then we can put the fittings in the proper positions before crimping. If they are turned just a little, the line will not want to go on because it will not twist.

I went here: http://www.helperformance.us/ and for about $50, I got an excellent braided line that was then covered in my choice of color sheath. I got ride of the hard line to the caliper while I was at it and even the fittings I got to pick for color. I talked to the guy making them directly and get exactly what I needed. When it comes to lines for my magna and fz, I will be heading here again.
