I'm actually one of those who is able to watch any garbage show, and mentally tune out anything I don't like, such as BS talking announcers, product voice overs, etc. I just like getting my fix of seeing these bikes. There's maybe a dozen within an hour of me. Not even enough close enough to make a club and meet up sunday mornings for a ride. I'll just ride by myself then. :)

Mark, this may make me sound unsociable, but i kinda enjoy riding alone.I was kinda bummed out that none of my buddies had bikes,or any interest in them, but it works out ok.It's nice being able to turn where you want to,go as fast or slow as you feel like and stay out longer than your married buddies are allowed.Alone is not all that bad.

I like riding with others, and I like riding alone too. When I've got my camera, I prefer to ride alone. My buddies just want to ride from destination to destination, they never seemed to "get it" that the trip, and it's little stops and detours, were just as fun!

Piute, that's awesome. I've never tried moose yet. I'll have to give it a try on some future vacation.

As far as "exotics" go, I've just had octopus, elk, rattlesnake, emu, and ostrich.

Boys...  You need to find the right woman!  My wife and I ride two up, just us, 90% of the time.  We have the same interests in riding:  "Let's see what's down this road..."  "Let's see where this road takes us..."  Etc.  We ride with some friends, occasionally, but we really prefer to ride alone.  When we tour (day trips, weekend trips, week+ tours), we go with a general idea of where we want to go, and roughly how we plan to get there, but we never hold ourselves to any pre-conceived plan/agenda.  We find a motel along the route, and stop when we need to (before it gets dark).  We get so much joy out of our rides because we are wandering somewhat aimlessly.  We could not ride/tour any other way.

You just need to find a partner who shares your riding style, and everything else about you.  When you find her, marry her -- and sit back, and enjoy your lives together.  My wife laughs and tells me that if anyone had told her she would be married, and riding, and driving(!), motorcycles around the nation, 15 years ago, she says she would have laughed in their face!  She laughs, and she tells me she can't believe it, but she loves it!!!  Our very best times, are on the bike, whether it is only a day trip, or much better yet, a week+ tour together.  It really helps our marriage when we get on, and ride one bike.  When she drives, I get to relax and drink in the beauty of the world around us (Minnesota has some of the most beautiful terrain we've laid eyes on, and we've been around the nation a bit):  the Mississippi River Valley's bluffs; all of the shoreline of Lake Superior; southern Ontario; northern Minnesota; Iowa's plains; Illinois' Mississippi river valley; and in a car:  East Coast; West Coast; Ohio; Virginia; Texas; and other places.  We're planning to ride through the Badlands, this Summer.  Can't wait to meander through them!  Cheers!
