1974 cb750 front end questions

wooden indian
I just purchased a real nice 74 750 that was locked away for last twenty years, the original owner made it into a chopper in the seventies and i just want to bring back to stock. My question is specifically will a 77 cb750 upper fork tubes fit my 74 lowers? I know there both 35mm but not sure of internal details,i would really appreciate the info as i have not yet bought the 77 forks,i also need fork ears for the headlight if anybody has any ideas, thanks!

I was interested to see what answers showed up on this.I was curious is all of the upper and lowers were interchangeable, too. As far as I know they are, since they are all damper rod forks. But I cant say for certain.
