1975 Honda CB750F SS wiring issue.

Teddy
Hello all,
So, long story short, this is my first bike. I bought it from a motorcycle enthusiast who took very good care of the bike, and it runs like a dream. My only problem is this: My running lights and my gauge lights do not work. I have looked at various wiring diagrams and I admit I get kind of lost in them. Does this sound like a common problem to anyone? Is their an out of the can fix, or am I in for a big job. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Here are a few images of the bike :)

They all plug into a black wire in the headlight. I would start looking there.

Nice looking bike. Congratulations and welcome!

According to this wire color chart - https://www.4shared.com/download/g2SGNrLH/Honda_Motorcycle_Electrical_Wi.pdf -

The gauge lights, taillight, and front running lights all feed from a brown/white lead from the ignition switch. So if you don't find any loose connections in the headlight bucket you might want to have a look at the switch. If the taillight is on but not the running lights, you might want to look at the turn signal switch because the wires are routed through there also.
