Please tell me how you did that to your seat! I really like the look of it, and would do just about anything to change mine to something like that.

I love my bike, but the one thing I dislike is the style of the seat:

His seat is beautiful, isn't it!I dont think anyone i have ever talked to really likes the stock seats.
Daddyman,I got the gauges appliques in today. Not too awful bad to do.The decals themselves were real easy to apply.Time consuming and hand crampingly repetitve, but very do-able.Go for it big dawg!

Important to note:they are kinda dark.I closed all the doors in the barn to get this pic.It is kinda misleading, because in reality they do not light up that well at all.You might want to avoid them,or at least the ones i got,if you are planning on riding much at night.Im not planning on much night riding because of the deer-infested area i live in so not a big deal for me.You CAN read them just fine, but not at a glance like you really need tovery sucky discovery, but im not taking them back  apart

JP, I just shortened my stock seat by 11".  Your seat pan is different than mine but if you find a super sport seat with the rear cowl on it just shorten it up to the size ya want and weld it back together.  I also used the factory foam and shaped it with a hacksaw blade and a wire wheel on a 4" grinder.

You make it sound so easy. I've never done any welding

I might see if I can get my hands on a ss seat though. Can't hurt to try

Q. Whats the difference between a Chevy and a Tampon?
A. A tampon comes with its own tow rope

Q. Why don't Chevy's sustain much damage in front end collisions?
A. The tow truck takes most of the impact.

Q. How do you improve the appearance of a Chevy?
A. Park it between two Mopars

CHEVROLET= Constantly Having Every Vehicle Recalled Over Lousy Engineering Techniques

CHEVROLET= Cheap, Hardly Efficient, Virtually Runs On Luck Every Time.

CHEVROLET= Cheap Heavy Equipment, Very Rusty, Overly Loved, Eventually Towed

A man pulled up next to a little girl walking home from school and said "If you get in, I'll give you a lollypop." The girl kept walking. Following along slowly, the man said "Come on and get in the car with me and I'll give you two lolly pops." She kept her eyes on the sidewalk and continued on her way. The man said "Get in with me and I'll give you this whole bag of lollypops!" Finally, the girl turned and said "Look daddy, YOU bought the Chevy, YOU ride in it!!!"

Hate that karma crap,  I used to do the same thing until a stock Mitsubishi 300 bi turbo smoked my big block Dodge.  Have to give credit where its due.

Question for you, Da'Man: Are you still running with your lowered gauge solution?
I was wondering how that was working for you and if you'd do anything different..

Half-Caf I am still running with the gauges like I showed in the pics,  wouldn't change a thing I like how close they sit to the headlight.  I didn't like how much room was between them from the factory it looks sporty this way.  The carriage bolts hold them real tight I like it.

Im still waiting to see the two-seater cafe seat!  That was a good idea you had about lowering the gauges Daddy-o.I'm glad i ripped that one off myself, before you patented it.When i drove it to the bike shop yesterday that is the first thing the owner commented on.Don't worry,i admitted that i stole  the idea from a buddy.I used all thread dipped in plasti-dip on mine ,though.Had to do something to smooth out all those exposed threads
