BOLT, FLANGE (8X62) 90156-KA6-770

I am missing one of these on my 81 CB750C.

So far, I have search through 2 pages of Bing results. Found a bunch of sites listing them, exactly, and then they are unavailable. There are plenty of sites listing 8x62 Flange bolts, for Honda, but a different part number (usually for a car engine or a lawn mower).

Can I just go to a Hardware shop and grab one? Does it need to be a specific Specification? Also, the nut on the other one has a strange looking washer. Do I need that?

You can go to a hardware store and get a bolt to replace it. Some well stocked hardware stores even carry flanged bolts. However a regular bolt will work just fine, just use a washer on it.

What is the bolt for?

I betcha McMaster Carr will have one. Might have to make a minimum order, though. Not really sure about that.
