  O.K. I jumped the gun Maybe,seen this on flea bay and grabbed it 45 bucks.

 I'm not positive it will fit was marked 69-79 but myself know all that can't be right but for the buy now price

                 Get me some fittings N maybe get these to adapt to work

  I'm still going to try the cb 650 stuff 1st ,but not taking any chances on wearing this engine to soon,test now aren't going to be correct unless we hit 100+ deg. might

Supposedly, dropping the oil temperature by 40 F, will double the life of the engine.  If they go 80,000-100,000 miles, stock, before needing an overhaul...  An oil cooler could potentially double the life:  160,000-200,000 miles before needing an overhaul!  If your engine is not water-cooled, an oil cooler is almost as good.

I know the life expectancy of my water-cooled Voyager, is 300,000+ miles.  I hope it is the last bike I buy, as it currently has 57,000 on it.  I hope that the oil cooler gives my Honda a life-extension in the 150,000+ region.  It would be quite a testimony of Honda's engineering skills!  Cheers!

   That is the whole plan Srg.,make this engine(stock F2) last,I'm hoping 2yrs of lots of miles,,Before having to do any type of engine work ,If i have to buy a gasket set it's coming apart and 836 going in,And  By then maybe have all the Lil stuff saved or on all ready.

Geeze, I thought the fun part was taking it all apart, down to the last nut and bolt, and putting it all back together.  Maybe I'm missing something...

Lots of parts and not being familiar with the bike,My bike has been setting for years in heated area,

    Well, If I ran across a deal like that Thief ChromeGuy I'd grab and take completely apart ,(been molested  already) need to see how good or bad

  800 bucks I'd say you stole it cause you got  great project bike there ,at least in my 2 cent op-ion,
I'm looking at Kong style myself ,but thats a WAY A WAAAAY .
  more then 1 bike is a waist of a bike/bikes in my thought but great if your into selling or 1 cruiser ,1 café/track bike.I'd like a Valkyrie myself for touring(something not seen to much of)After I'm done going through a few set of tires on this f2

Still hanging on, hoping it works as anticipated.  Using the CB650SC's oil cooler system would be so easy, and it would double the life of DOHC's equipped with them, keeping them on the road for years to come.  Cheers!

  O.K. Sorry back to the cooler,The 650 night-Hawk plate will not just slip into place ,due to were the lines tie in and the plate is thinner then the stock plate on a F2,Have a few different friends that may help in making a spacer plate Or they may have better idea,I'd say about 3/16" to a 1/4" is all but then your talking "O"ring groves ,lots of extra possibility's of leaks.

 

  Now the adapter I got off Flea Bay , Seems I need to add a washer on the bigg bolt to get a tight fit and oil lines will have to come out the bottom,All this should not be a problem ,this is why I check thing as much as possible before finale installation,measure out length of lines and check for type of connection recommendations ,So we stick with whats on the bike stock for now,Have lines made,maybe get pan gasket N few new others was worried about that syn. finding a pin hole and causing a bigg leak,that has happened to me on a Chevy 350.
 
   So all is not lost and I will get the 650 cooling system to fit but will be over / late winter most likely. Not having much time to mess with makes lots of difference for me.Now to fix faring.

Hi there, I have fitted a CB650 SC oil cooler setup to my Benelli 900 sei, it fitted straight on to the crankcase and works very well. Benelli sixes tend to run too hot without a cooler due to the narrowness of the engine block which is only 1-3/4" wider than a single cam CB750.

I mounted the cooler where the original horns are situated, under the fuel tank and between the frame downturns. I relocated the horns on either side of the rear engine mounts under the bank of six Dell'orto carbs.

I have also fitted a CB650 oil sump which also bolts straight on without any mods. The CB650 sump increases the oil capacity over the Benelli one. The CB650 SC cooler setup fits all Benelli multi's from the 350 Quattro up to the 900 sei.

Benelli fours and sixes also accept the same oil filter element as single cam Honda's from the CB500F to the CB750 series of fours.

Now that is some interesting information. i wonder if there was some reverse engineering going on there.
I remember the Benelli six when it came out in the late 70's, but have never seen one in person. I would love to see yours. Can you bring it by for me to check out?
