Front Brake Master upgrade?

FastCletus
I have a 80 cb750 F.  Now as much as I want to have the front brake work on my CB as nice as it does on my duck I don't think its going to happen.  But with that being said I need an upgrade.
My current master leaks, and has a half a lever.  I havent been able to find a lever that fits it and with the cost of a lever and a rebuild kit I might as well get a new one.  Does anyone have any experience with an upgrade master and lever kit?

I was thinking more after market.  Maybe one from a 600 cbr   They are fairly easy to come by.  I don't know if they are interchangeable

Try a Google search on the topic.  Try searching this forum, as well.  I remember reading about such an upgrade, but it might have pertained to swapping the front forks with a dual front disc brake system.  Sorry, no details, no first-hand experiences.  Best of luck.  Cheers!

vintagecb750.com has a very nice aftermarket master cylinder. They also carry a rebuild kit for it, so if it ever needs rebuilt, parts are available. I myself like to find Kawasaki master cylinders. They are easy to rebuild, and look very nice. Also no plastic parts.

Looked at vintage cb750. The only one they had was for a single disc. I need a dual. Does the Kawi work on a dual.

Here is what I have learned    Nissin makes a replacement that seems to be good  about 150 bucks. Only question is they only make it for 14mm bore. Does my bike have a 14mm? From what I read you need to have the right match between master and caliper. Too good and front will lock up, and not good enough, strains  as you  must, but  little braking occurs.  Readers say the Nissan works on two fingers. Which is good with me

I rebuilt the MC on my 79F with the kit from Vintage750.  Worked fine.  I believe they even have a replacement reservoir if you need it.

Should never lock your brake till near complete stop.(shouldn't take all fingers no how)
AS metioned some G.W./G.L.would work great there the same as my F2 brakes pads & all ,77-80? wings. But use what ever you think is safe for you ,brakes are a bit special for most us.

sometime I think I talking to my self, but thats ok.
Here is what I found out.  If you look at the under side of your MC, you will see the bore size stamped on it.  For what its worth mine is a 5/8 bore.
