Thanks

Mr.James_Black
Thanks a lot guys. I order them and I got them at home. They sent me 50mm.
So I got the tank and the pods. By this weekend I should be able to put them.

Quick Question

harley peanut tank 3.2

Do I need to line it before use or the liner is just to restore old rusty tanks?
Suggestions, Ideas...let me know before i install it.
:D

I lined mine with no problems. If not done right it will not take. If you don't have any leaks or major rust I would not worry about it.

Why don't you take on the responsibility yourself.

Buy a workshop manual. Read.Learn. Get off of the device.
If it was me I would go to the DOHC forum.

Mr.James_Black
So.. I took sometime yesterday and cleaned up the bike. I also murdered it out. Love the all black look.
I used Black Engine Spray paint (2000 degree). For the back fender I also use Undercoating on top of the engine spray.

This week....The tank should be welded. Then...........RIDE AND RIDE AND RIDE :D

Mr.James_Black
Brothers n Sisters........The tank is welded :D
All I got left is put a new battery, find the 2 screws for the seat, install the air pods, give her a new coat of black paint and place the stickers. Ill be doing in this weekend :) Updates soon!!!!

Im a little concern about the location of the petcock. All I can think is about gas efficiency. I need to keep an eye and make sure the tank is always full. :?
Any suggestion before I put gas in it? Thanks Bro's :D

Hmmm, that stinks on the petcock. Any chance you can move it while your are still in the welding stage? Or have you painted it yet?

"Pressed" Just put a pipe plug in the petcock hole. Then drill a new hole, and weld a pipe bung/fitting over the new hole. Re-install the petcock. Paint to please, and your done.

What was welded on the tank? Was the actual tank welded up or was it welded to the frame? I'm confused?

"Welded to the frame?" You can't weld a gas tank to the frame!!! The vibrations will cause it to crack, and dump gas into your lap, and onto a hot engine. Please bolt it on!!.
