Yea that is the same as the blue tank. I am kind of digging it myself. Even though it looks like crap on a stock bike.

Idk, I think if you go with the flat black and do like a gold with flake stripe down that raised up center section, with a chromed or polished fuel door I think that tank would look sick, just a thought.

I am wanting to use a black hammer finish. I have never seen it on a bike, but I really like the way it looks.

Oh yeah, that would look awesome I'm thinking, any pin-striping or emblems going on the sides? Maybe like a diamond-plate fuel door would look really cool too, I really like that fuel door on the tank and if it was me I would emphasize it.

I was thinking a bikerMetric.com sticker. Trent sent me some awhile back. One is red wings with the bM logo. Should be really cool.

Huh, will have to see it when it's all said and done then. Sounds interesting, Idk if they make high-temp hammered-black paint but if they do I would paint the pipes to match, think that would look really cool too.

That's an idea. I might have to check on that. I was going to use a set of mangy looking 4 into 2 pipes I got from Shiney, but now I am thinking about using 4 pipes with the long round lawn mower mufflers attached to them.

That would be crazy loud, could always take those 4 into 2's and chop the mufflers off and put some cherry-bombs on them, would give it a real nice tone and maybe give you a few less tickets

There is a video on here somewhere of an engine running on a test stand, and it has 4 of those mufflers on it. It sounds pretty good, and looks pretty cool. I will see if I can find it.

That is cool, wonder how they would sound off the end of some headers, hey, not like those mufflers cost much so give it a shot.
I really wanna hear what a cherry-bomb sounds like when set up right, I wanna hear the crackle but I wanna hear it because it's supposed to make the noise, not just cause it's running like crap.

When you combine the exhaust pipes together (header)the exhaust pulses combine,cancel each other out and smooth out the exhaust note.Just how you can take a single tail pipe car and put duals on it and it sounds more aggressive. If you want to make it crackle remove back pressure.If you wan to make it loud run a small diameter pipe. I race with a guy that has a roadster with a flat head ford on it.His zoomies are made of only1" diameter tubing.It is literally PAINFULLY loud.

Nice, I just want loud enough so that I am heard but not so that I am pulled over, and I want a tone that demands respect and doesn't sound like another fart can coming down the road, lol. But I am not sure I can get away with it without swapping the carbs.... stupid CV carbs....

I came across another gas tank the other day. It is off a 71 CB 750 that was customized in the mid 70's. The bike had sat since 79 after it had been in an accident. What do, you think of this one?

Is that black metal flake? If it is and the paint still looks good then I'd run it. Gotta nice shape to it and a cool gas cap.  Hope to see this build take off so I can rob ideas for my own!
