Probably what would work best for making a template is to let me send you a rotor, then you can transfer the holes in to it. That would make a nice solid template. I would be willing to sacrifice my rotor for such a task

JK. Whatever's cheapest,I say.

What would really work best, would be if we sent all the rotors to Shiny, and he could go on, and drill them, for us.

I'd cut the plastic like a peace of pie ,then just try to get 2 complete sets (rows),that way it is sure to be flat,Then again you could take them apart.

Forgot to mention, New muffler packing and baffle is on the way, along with carb gaskets and seals, new floats (just in case), and new carb boots with the right clamps. I finally got an opening scheduled at the bike shop that works on these old ones, and even races them, to do some serious tuning, jetting, synching, etc. Put the new parts on and tune it with the parts the bike will be running with. These guys aren't just bike mechanics, they're the kind of shop that races the bikes they build, and they even make some of their own parts. I KNOW it will finally be running right after they get through with it. Just two weeks from now (parts won't be in until mid to late next week) and I can ride it all day, every day, everywhere! :)
(fingers crossed they can get it sorted out)

What? Then it won't pop and sputter anymore? That's no fun, lol. Better post a video up of you doing a Dyno pull with your new race bike!

It's just a stock engine with stock cam and stock carbs. I'm thinking of building a performance engine for the cafe.

Since I'm getting the new muffler put on just before tuning, I decided to also get the headers blasted. I'm either going to ceramic coat them, or if that costs too much, I'll shoot em with high heat or barbeque paint flat black.

Man I love the Internet! I was talking to a guy on another forum and he's got a TITLED frame for sale, center stand mounts and passenger peg mounts are already removed (something I was going to have done for my cafe anyway) and best of all, he's already got the newer version of the Gordon frame kit welded in! That's going to save me a ton of labor....I just have to send him my kit as an exchange, so it's like the labor was free. It's a bit expensive, but he's gone through the process of titling it...and he's asking $350 and is willing to ship it! I may just have my cafe frame! He's sending pics in the next few days. we'll see how it looks. :)

Got my new muffler last week. The headers are coming back from thermal coating Thursday. I found a company locally that does inside and out thermal coating that is used by a lot of local racers and has proven to be more durable than the ceramic coatings with much better heat retention abilities. (supposedly nearly 70% of thick thermal wrapping, without all the bulk) We'll see how it holds up. Pics coming Friday. :)

(coating cost me $200, and that includes the shop transporting them to Pt St Lucie (a 45 minute drive) to the shop that does the coating)

Cool! Can't wait to see them. Seriously.  That is a very fair price, too. We used to pay $350+ to have zoomies ceramic coated.

Oh yeah. I almost forgot.....

Here's another...no pics today because the shop closed up today due to the 40MPH winds and heavy rains from this little storm off the coast. We like to call them Hurricanes down here. Pics hopefully tomorrow. :)

They're still not back, but I got my voltmeter! I think this will look cool once I use the dremel to polish the trim ring. They don't offer a chrome trim ring on this tiny gauge. :)

Oh, and the mounting posts on this voltmeter are also the power and ground inputs, so I have to make some plastic bushings to mount it in a similar fashion to the speedo and tach. (on a flat plate, post mounted from the back)
