Lifting the frame with the wheels on would be very difficult for me.

Hard to beat a good table to build on. What are you gonna be running for a front end? Stock tubes or extended?

Lucky, the Project all looks awesome!  What I wouldn't give to have a nice work table like that!  One of these days....
How I've waited for you to come;
I've been here all alone.
Now that you've arrived,
Please stay a while...
I promise I won't keep you long,
I'll keep you forever..........

Hopefully the stock tubes.
The neck of the frame has been lowered 1 inch.
The rake is 36º and that should work out to look just like the first photo in this thread.

The table is 30 inches wide.
The height is 22 inches so I can sit and work, or stand up.
Also the height is 22 inches so my hydraulic lift table can lift up the engine
onto the table because I cannot do it by myself.

The table would have to be extended for a 42º rake so the front wheel could be supported.
The table top represents the ground. Then I set the frame up 5.5 inches above the table.
That is the minimum ground clearance I would like for this bike
The reason is that the CB750 exhausts will be run UNDER the frame.

The table cost about $40.00

I had left over wood too.
It took about two hours at my pace.

The frame arrived from Cycle One Manufacturing!
I will post some photos so you can see the quality of the workmanship.
I will be spending about a day of grinding and sanding on the mount tabs to get rid of the
sharp edges and flame cutting marks.
NO sanding or grinding on the welds, as they are all structural welds!
Rake is 36º

Hold on...

Veeeeery nice! Love that gooseneck! I dont understand that downtube, though. Looks like they would've gusseted it on the top side of the jont and not have to leave that tail hanging down. The tail looks cool, but I bet it's right smack dab where your filter housing is Not trying to dis your bike, sorry.Just running my mouth. Very nice, solid looking piece ya got there Lucky! Get to it man!

I am going to need a part to get the rear wheel aligned.
I am going to need an early style rear sprocket carrier hub and spacer.
It is 10mm difference than the 1978 which is 36mm compared to 26mm for the early style.
Does anyone have one for sale?

Hope that will make it work or I will be altering the frame.
And that is a lot of work. Last resort of course.

It was $765.00 plus. Close to $900.00
It is a rigid frame.

If you are on a budget...who is not?
You might find a used chopper frame.
