I want to get her running first, then I'll customize her to my desires. I can't wait to take it camping.. yinz ever do that? thow a bed roll on the back and just hit the road, and sleep wherever? I'm planing on doing that next summer.

I used to do it a lot. I have thought about doing it again, but people are just not as nice as they used to be. You should check out Don Wood's bed rolls. There really cool.

Not really. Sounds like a good deal if it's not all chopped up.

OK, I;m sure you guys have come across the King Custom cycles guy on the net, he gave me the simple wiring diagram he came up with, and frankly It makes me wonder what all the other wires are for on the bike. Because this diagram is so simple and Even I can follow it. I think its genius at how simple it is. Ockham's razor smart.. DO you think it's a good way to go? should I give it a shot?
also.
. ..where is the oil tank and battery on this bike>?????? I like this bike alot..

The DOHC CB750s don't have the oil tank that the SOHC models do.
I don't know where he put all the wiring and battery on that bike. Maybe they took it out for picture purposes? There's the battery, the ignition modules, turn signal stuff, fuses. Maybe under the tank?

ya know what, I didn't even notice the Dualness of the OHC...
do you know if anyone makes those real simple round oil tanks that would fit the stock fittings on my bike? (74).

I would try Low Rider Tommy, for an oil tank lowridersbysummers.com I think. I myself will never rewire a Honda with the stock wiring harness unless it was an all stock bike. Where it would be all plug, and play. On every custom bike I have built. I have made my own harnesses eliminating all unnecessary wires.

this is where I am as of today. All ready to really get shit done now.. I got all winter to do so, So I'm happy with how things are proceeding.
I am unhappy with the way cilidar 4 looks and that I just realized I can only shift 4 places. So I will be looking into that when I open the case. anyone know any good writeups on that procedure?

So what are the rules of camping Piute?
Can you just pull over and lay it down on the side of the highway? I'm sure they would prefer you to find a campsight, but what if you can't find one and your about to crash tired? CAn you just slang it?

Yes most the time for me always, dosen't bother me one bit,
Now / get the fill were your at ( water around River / lake ) ,train tracks most have service roads ?,
of course you have to get off the main hwys unless its raining. Have sleep under hwy over passes(always park bike on fare end of cover and completely off road yes in the mud)
When near water look for pinic tables ,put tarp over bike and sleep on table
When near tracks follow till you see that access road or small road going towards it (tracks)find a high ground spot and sleep( use your tarp setup) as far off road as possible (of course)
Now when I'm gone for days at a time like crossing the U.S.(4 to heck 10 day trip) I do most of my sleeping during the heat of the day (1pm - 5 / 6pm) you got to sleep not just rest ,riding day in and day out is WORK ...Sleeping during the day HEY any city park or country grass near a bussness,(were you can stay close to bike )
I'm old enough to were I have family and friends (that ride also) within a short days ride 6-10hrs(5 to 900miles) going any were in the states.(most in one day aprx.1,200 miles st.pt.wis. to raton n.mex.)by myself.FLYING avr.85 i think 16-18 hrs
Yes the cops or even others have ask why was sleeping or cat nap,Tell the trurth " you've been riding and need rest TO BE SAFE "
You wont sleep much and very lite type sleeping not like your going to be in 1 spot all day.
Should of P. Mess this "O" well>>>Piute<<<
