Here's the frame after the first coat... I'm very happy with the way the peened copper paint looks on her.
I have decided to go with clubamans, over drag bars. sitting on the bike feeling out the general area the bars would be, I think the Clubmans will be very comfortable.
I am going to grab one of theose light visors, I love that look.. going to grab some real tiny led turn signals. a nice new led tail light. and I'm going to build my own seat to look like the Green inspiration bike I posted a few back. I sent those guys an email seeing if they sold seats they made but they dont. booooo.

Realy like thr fact you didn't go black with frame ,parts of the frame that show (when together ) have a nice body-line look and should stand out even though my bike is black I use it(gloss blk) as my chrome but come next winter will most all be covered (fiber-glass)like a new sport bike with saddle-bags.
Have A great Day >>>Piute<<<

|
|
I have transmission Questions... Does anyone know what transmission is in the 74? is it the HM 268?
or are there different ones in the same year? or are they all the same through a few different years. if so what is the hm #### BS that I see on ebay? I'm super confused and I with I had my Shop Bible in front of me now.

The CB 900 engine will fit with a lot of modifications! You would probably need to modify everything, but the steering neck, and the swing arm. I do not know what the deal is with the transmissions. I know Honda did make some changes through the production years, but I am pretty sure they will all interchange in the cases.

ok, then scratch the 900...
If I am missing shift positions, is there a kit I should look at? or try and find the same forks n whatnot from an old used set up? whatchinz think about that?

I would just try, and find an old parts engine, and swap the complete transmission. I have been pretty lucky about finding old engines. I have 3 five speeds, 1 DOHC, and 1 matic, for parts. When I find them I snatch them up.

Tools, any chance you wanna get rid of one. I haven't had too much luck finding CB stuff. apparently, these things are becoming real popular, There is a Cafe racer craze hitting the streets, did yinz know that? My timing is fucked.

Cafe racer craze? Are those the short funny looking bikes that, you have to scrunch all up to ride? I do not know the condition of any of the transmissions on these engines. Also I have not ever worked on one of these, so I am not sure how I would inspect them.
