Thats the one that came apart.Think i could ever get the bushings out of the old one?

Good question. I have an extra swing arm with good bushings. Would be cheaper then new bushings. You could probably sell the disc break one with break set up real easy.

I just had my swing arm powder coated!Thx anyways
Peter, after using the oven cleaner and wire wheel on it there was very little paint left on.After doing it a second time it was all off.But my paint was flaking pretty bad to begin with.Kutzit is a real fast acting paint thinner, cuts grease good ,too. You could probably use it to clean the motor and kill two birds with one stone.Kutzit is cheap, too.I think it less than ten dollars a gallon and i have had the same gallon foreeeeever.

Heat the swing arm. They will drop right in.

How much heat we talking about? I dont wanna burn my powder coating. Will they press in alright without heat?Does the inner shaft slide out when the bushings are out?I just wanna get all the crud out so i wont have this problem again. My bolt seems clean, but hangs up and has to be tapped it and out.Doesnt look bent either

Dip the end of the swing arm in boiling water. Leave the bushings in the freezer overnight, and take them out right when, you are ready to install them.

Hey Peter, thought about this later.Dont use a stiff wire wheel, stainless steel or what not.Use the soft brass ones.Golden colored. The stiff ones will leave marks on your cases
