Why not "Thor"?  Black, big, menacing, strong..."put the hammer down".

I know,it's a lot of silver on one bike. I hope it doesn't wash out being all the same color. I want to get some Yamaha Shift Red paint like on Reruns new bike, and put a set of stripes on it.

Paint question for Piute: Can you wet sand and buff acrylic enamel. It is a metallic color. My gun spit on me and I got a couple goobers that i'd love to get off

I'm not the expert Piute is, but I used to wet sand, and buff acrylic enamel all the time.

Love the look, but I worry about having such reflective and bright colors.  I have enough reflection stuff with my gloss black gas tank on my Shadow: I can't imagine chrome or silver on a sunny day gradually making me blind.  I know what you're thinking: why is he looking at the tank instead of up at the road?  Well, there's that speedometer thing, looking down at stoplights to give my neck a rest, etc etc.

Haha,I know what you mean Luke. My Impala has a strip of chrome that runs across the bottom of the dash and another that surrounds the windshield. More chrome on the steering wheel and then there is the strip that runs along both of edges of where the window comes out of the door. And the vent window...and the worst is the hood spear. It can be brutal at times. I suppose that is why they de-chromed all of the modern cars. Its nice...but it sucks,if you know what i mean .I thought it was funny how the sun just happened to glint in this photo. Its really not that bad.The only chrome I can see while riding is the handlebars, and we all got chrome bars. I really wanted to polish out my gas cap real good, but was afraid of exactly what you are talking about. That is also the same reason my upper triple tree is only lightly polished and not super bright.

Pics with a better camera

You can see where the side covers messed up on me. The dark splotches. Not a clue what happened, but they need to be redone

YES you can cut N polish that paint with out any worries, heavy / bigger flakes with the wrong air pressure can cause them to set on edge and not lye flat, yours is more a powder ,Turtle rubbing compound then clear ,tack coat and 2 heavy, then clear again in another month.my .02 worth..Looking at black bars myself 1/2café,

Looks GREAT  it's all shiny Ribbed out,you did good,

You just haaaaad to mention it,didn't ya? I know. It's killing me. I'll get that soon. You are right about being just like powder,I'll give it awhile to fully cure then go after it. It shouldn't need a wheel on it. I'm pretty sure I can run it out by hand. Much safer for a novice that way

And 0.50-Caf......I can't think of any witty comebacks so...

I finally got around to mounting my oil pressure gauge up on the bars where I can see it riding. Still looking for a small oil temp gauge to match, but I only want to use a mechanical gauge.

I have been considering a set of inserts where my knee dents are. I mocked this up this morning (insomnia is a bi***). I think it makes the bike look a little longer and not so stumpy. Seems like the black clashes with the (wrinkled up) brown seat, though. Any thoughts?

Hmm, you could switch the seat to black? I know you have a thing for brown.. but I think it would look pretty sweet with the matching inseparable and seat.

Did, you leave it out in the rain? It looks like it is waterlogged. You could do your seat in mouse hide.

I think it would take about 43 mice according to my calculations. I'd have to stop drowning them and start breeding them. I always wanted to be a mouse farmer! Yah!  Giddy up mousey!
