Toolbabe took the Bobber down the road today However she did not go far It does not want to rev. It runs like the break is on. I am thinking it is the ignition advance. I am going to have to get a timing light to check it out (mine is in South Carolina). If it is not that I will have to re-jet the carb, for the pod.

That reminds me,Tools.I have a SOHC question for you. When i was testing my turn signals tonight i turned my engine kill switch off so i wouldnt be drawing on the ignition to conserve the batt. That was my idea, anyway. After about 30-45 minutes later, when i was zip-tying everything up i noticed the right side coil(1-4 i think?)was a little warm to the touch.Should it have done that?

Sucks about her bike.Did she get to go very far?

I have never had one coil get hotter then the other. Seems odd
She only made it half a block. However the real reason it does not want to rev. Might be the flowers she put on the tank

HAHA!

Do you think that with the electonic ignition it was sitting where it was trying ti fire that on side? But the kill switch was off is what gets me.It was not very hot at all.Maybe 10 degrees warmer than room temp

That could be it. Does the electronic ignition have a switched hot to it? Have, you checked the kill switch, for continuity?

She put flowers on the gas tank I tried stuffing the pod with foam, but it did not help. I am going to have to drill the jets. Not looking forward to it, but at least it is only one carb. Right now I have the TLR 200 on the lift. Putting a new chain, and 10 tooth front sprocket on it. I am also removing the turn signals, and am going to make the foot pegs a little larger.

Tools this looks INTERESTING.
Now that I have Bernice, I don't expect to ever ride 2 up on on my 750.
Fiona may be in line for a makover!

What brand & application seat did you use? I'm sure the mounting is all fabricated right?

It came from Cycle-X. It does not take much fabrication to install. It is one of the easiest mods to do.

I would imagin it wouldn't.
Now that I have been taking welding classes & buying a few different welders & a plasma cutter (don't tell the wife lol) I have found that fabricating is a cinch!
I also like the taillight, good replacement for the big bulky CB unit!!!

Plasma Cutter! Your going big time. Probably wont want to have anything to do with me before long. I still use a cutting torch.
I got the taillight off e-gay. I think it was around $30.00. Was really surprised with how good the quality was, and it covered the holes from the stock light.

Oh man you can't beat a plasma cutter. Hell a cheepy Harbor freight unit goes for around $600 bucks (shhhh aw jeeze I think I typed too loud, the wife may hear)

No pre heating needed, it uses your compressor for nitrogen, cut a clean straight lines with ease upto 1/2 inch thick.

Check it out!

I went, and tried to fire it up, but it would not go. I checked spark, and there was none. I pulled the point cover off, and the points looked like acid had been poured on them. Looked like two dried up warts rubbing together. I have never seen anything like it. Last year before starting this project. I installed the points, and condenser new. I started the bike, and it ran, for maybe 5 minutes. I then shut it off, and disassembled it. What could have done this? At $16.00 a set I hope this was a one time thing.
TOOLS
sounds like you left the power on.  That would fry the points.
