Since 12/24 total miles is 1231. Still quite impressive!
add the 150 he rode to empty his tank and it looks a little more impressive.

and if you're going for raw numbers, "almost 2,000" looks even better [kilometres, of course].

Not flushing TP is the norm, in Mexico!  [They have open sewers, pushing toilet dumpings down the mountain sides -- that's why you never drink the tap water.]  How far South are you?...

I think I remember you said you put in Shell Rotella T6 oil, before you left -- that is great!  You can run that stuff 5,000-7,000 miles, easy.  Ride safe -- God bless!  Cheers!

Natural rhythm of how I sleep. Probably why I am always tired even after sleeping for 10 hours. Or more.

Next lull in the rain and I am packing. Screw this rain.

I haven't seen any of these replies, and I should probably keep breaking camp. Who knows when the rain will return...

Yep, put it in and am carrying an extra quart.

The place I stopped is either Allemond Landing, or McGee's landing. Slept on the levee itself. Side note, did 70 on the levee last night trying to get to the state park that locked up 30 minutes before I got there. How many people not in the south can say they did 70 on top of the levee? :D

Today is day 5. I had a full tank when I left, so add another 130 realistically to the numbers. I should have topped off before I left but I was itching to go, I had filled the gallon can I have, and didn't want to skew the mpg numbers.

My god its warm here. I have a sweater and tshirt on, and sweating. These people are all squirreled away in their campers probably freezing. I should go for a swim :D

Okay, lets see if I can roll before 9 am. Friend gets out of work at the Axle Tx Wal-Mart at 7:30. Lets see if I can beat that. Otherwise I wont be able to see her as she has a sick baby, and can't leave her house. And her b/f's mom (who they live with due to him being a deadbeat) hates me as well. Guess they don't like successful people?

add to the fact that you're [he's] not sticking to interstates but doing some back-riding I wouldn't be complaining.

btw, "saw" the launch [just good timing on my part] . . . hope it's a dry day and a great ride.

Its raining so hard the bike started running on 3 cylinders. Had to pull off. Hoping the plug wires dry out some as the rain stops.

We used to have luck spraying our distributors with WD-40 when four wheeling. Maybe that could help. If its raining that hard just slide in the tent and take a snooze man. I know I would! :)

So, holed up at a hotel in Marshall, Texas. Made it out of Louisiana. Lets hope tomorrow goes back to what it was like previous. Going to run the highway to Dallas then stay there. The first day I wont be in a different state than when I woke up!
