Since laying the Toolmatic down on Oct, 30th to avoid hitting two girls jaywalking, and an ASSHOLE cop putting in his report that they were NOT in the middle of the road, but over on the curb, and that I was PROBABLY going to run a red light, and panicked, locking up the brake, causing the accident, I have decided I want to get a camera to record while I ride. You know it really sucks that our world has come to this! However I do not know anything about video cameras. I am looking for advice on them. I want it to be small, and be able to record for 3+ hours. Any suggestions, or advice on them will be appreciated.

Also, any camera will record for as long as the batteries last and memory card will hold. If you want decent sound you'll probably have to look in to the GoPro's or something similar. IIRC, GoPro's have cig outlet cords for them, so you won't have to fiddle with batteries.

I'd recomend the GoPro. kinda pricy, but about the best camera of its type. You can also shoot stills when your out riding.

Sounds like the GoPro is the recommended camera. The one Maz linked to is pretty neat, takes very good quality video, and is very affordable though. I do not need a lot of fancy features, I just want to video my rides, so would you recommend the bottom of the line entry level "HERO"? http://shop.gopro.com/cameras Also, am I correct in assuming that after taking video, you connect the camera to your computer, and download just like with a digital photo camera?

Yeah, that are made to be pretty simple. They offer alot of accesories aswell. My friend has one she uses for diving that has a wrist mounted remote for start/stop, stills, etc.

I have a GoPro and they are pretty nice. Do some checking on how you want to mount it. I use mine mostly on an RC aircraft, and need a different mount to use on the bike. Get a couple memory cards so you have the storage you need
