Hey. Good to hear from you. My bike had a solenoid problem but fixed it about a week ago. I'm off tomorrow or really today, Friday. And planning on going for a ride. So i should be out by noon. Maybe we could meet some where for a beverage.

Hi Bill.

Got busy this week with work and also other things.

Working towards having bike ready this weekend.

Will call you soon, as soon as bike is ready.  Best meeting will happen with both bikes on road.

This jetting thing is not as easy as it sounds, had to get a hold of a friend for help, I am no specialist so this issue got beyond my capability.

      Talk to you soon.

Yea my carbs are not jetted right and not something I have tried to tackle yet. My bike boggs down when you jump on it. I believe I need new pipes too to help it breath. But that all seems like guess work to me. Good luck with your jetting and maybe you can solve some of my problems with what you learn.

See ya soon
Bill

Hi Bill.

Back after my yearly 3 month trip overseas.

Sorry I did not get back with you earlier last year. I was having a hell of a time with my carbs. I got used CR Kei9hin looking to save some money, in the long run it was not worth it.

I was frustrated, months on end with a breaking down bike. But finally done.  Ditched away the used CRs. Purchased brand new CR Keihin carbs from SUDCO.   Worked like a charm.

Also found the very best Dyno shop in SoCal. Not expensive, very professional and knowledgable staff.

If you still have issues, those guys are the very best. The first great motorcycle shop I have found in oens.

Let me know if you are still ridding. Finally my bike is a charm. Did this work in late January. Left soon after. So I can not enjoy the ride.

Hope to see you.  Here a pic of my bike at  a local strip mall.

Here another photo ridding at night

Hey,

I'm still riding. I love your front fender. I need to get tires and a new chain on my bike.  I would like some details on the shop you mentioned.

I've been thinking about blacking out my engine. If I do that I would have to take the bike off the road. It would take a couple months because I only have an hour or 2 each week to work on it. I would move the battery at the same time. And a couple other small things. Time is always an issue.

Talk to you soon
Bill

Hi Bill.

Good to know about your engine paint. I have to paint mine as well. The paint is not good. I paid a guy to do it like 2 years ago and he did an awful job.. So I am going to do it myself this time. Let me know when you get to it.  Guess best way is to get engine blasted with soft material, the side covers and all that can be taken apart powder coated.

About the shop, it is great.  Will send you the address and phone number via pm. They can tune your bike and leave it in A+ shape, using a dynamometer.

Bike runs good. Just have to finish working on the gauges, but it is good.  Perhaps we can meet before you park it for work.
