Nah,it's not all that bad. It was raining pretty hard and I was squeezed under a very small canopy with the bike sitting it out. Much closer than you would normally sit next to your pipes. My riding jacket probably has the same amount of bugs and highway poo on it as my header wrap. I may have just been smelling myself

Yesterday was the first day of spring. Temp and wind were both in the 20's. Today's no better. Bummer. Not what I had in mind

I complained too early. My cam chain got here a day early. I can assemble the bottom end on hackjob now. Woo hoo! Just in time to be snowed in for the weekend!

Is that not just how luck goes. Two week ends ago I take the carbs off cleaned them fixed a over flow tube leak.( over flow tube was cracked)Put it all back together and clean up the bike and went for a little ride.
The following Monday went and got my new tag sticker and crappy out ever since.

Doh! Shop rag fail on my part :( Little bitty scrap of a disposable paper towel I used to solvent clean the matings surfaces before gluing the halves shut.

Lessons learned (again) today :

1: bearings clearances are teeny tiny
2: if you think something went into the engine...it did.

Self inflicted disaster averted. Blood pressure lowering. Halves are back together and Hackjob has (half)  a motor now. Woo Hoo!

Awesome photo of Montvale in a mid-winter frame.   The "WHo shot JR cliffhanger brought in 76% of all television viewers in the US, a record it held until the 1983 final episode of M.A.S.H.  but I think there were a few less channels back then  HA!.
