The throttle cable attachment situation on twin cam CV's is complete and udder horse poo. Carry on.

And I just passed on a set of Mikuni flat slides. Complete with filters, cables, throttle assembly and right side switchgear. For $500. Probably a mistake. But , they were 36's. So probably too big for an 823 anyway, right? Right??? Tell me I'm right!

I just came across this posting of a letter to GM concerning the rumors of a new Grand National, and GNX.

Letter to GM:

You gonna look at Chrysler's Hellcat offerings and just take it? They resurrected the "insane power, normal car" muscle car formula. Take your almost-but-not-quite SS, give it a Buick badge, the Z06 engine, paint it bright yellow with thick black stripes, and nuke the Hellcats with the rebirth of the GSX. Doooo eeeeet.

Oh, and once that happens, turbo the hell out of a 4-banger and slap a GNX badge on it. Boom.

And once these do well, spin them off into a dedicated performance brand. Call it something exciting. Like Pontiac.

tl;dr: BRING PONTIAC BACK!"

Have you driven a 2014 Buick Regal turbo?  That is one seriously quick car. I rented one recently, and took my youngest son for a ride. It went from 30 to almost 90 in a few heartbeats. Drew the attention of a police car, who would have ticketed me if they weren't on a call somewhere.  As it was, I got the spotlight wave and quick flash of the Visibar.

I guess you can't have too much turbo, can ya?

PS: I'm working at 3 in the morning. What are YOU doing up?

Grand National's and Buick T-types are awesome cars. But they'll never be recreated.

Today's cars are appliances. Soulless vehicles of transportation. If they toss a GN or T-type designation on one of today's bodies I'll puke.

I know they were just old '80's model GM B bodies that never really made that much power. I'm not sure they ever saw above 300 HP. But those cars had attitude. The gentleman's muscle car.

I might move the 750 inside tomorrow.  I'm thinking carb cleaning is the first order of business, so time to study pinned cleaning topic (thanks boys).

-20 C tonight,  might move the BBQ inside too  ;)

Why is that a bad guy could unload a gun into Superman's chest, and he would not flinch, but after the gun was empty and the bad guy would throw it at him, he would duck?

I just typed the word "trike" in a reply to Tools' video, now the ads on the site are showing "DIY trike kits".

Hey creepy internet...stop it.
