Dang.I missed the post where you mentioned selling your bike.
Good luck with the sale,if that's what you need to do. But if you do end up keeping it and building the engine...well...
Hey guys so I was riding my bike around yesterday and suddenly it started to idle at 2.5k so I turned my idle speed screw out a bit and the rpms dropped a little then went back down to about 1.2k and when I started her back up she ran realllly rough for a little while. Almost like only a few cylinders were firing.... What the heck is going on?

Mine recently started doing something similar. After fully warmed up, the idle started climbing up to near 2000. I tried to back the idle screw off, but it had no effect. Bliping the throttle will put it back around 1300, until the next stop. I pulled the air filter out to inspect it, and the slug from the broken throttle cable was in there. Not sure how it got in there, but I'm ordering some new boots. Must be a cut in one of them to allow that slug in there, and I am relieved it didn't find it's way into the head.
So I have that all sorted out now.. or rather it sorted itself out. Went to start her up today and she wasn't firing on all four for awhile then finally it did... let it warm up a bit and drove away then... back to 2 again... then back to 4 and randomly as I was riding it would switch between the two. loosing power and gaining it at different times.... any ideas guys??? nothing is different...

I had some trouble with losing cylinders like this on the chopper once. It ended up being a fuel problem. Sticking floats in my case. (Kinda starting to miss that bike....) I suppose it's possible your coils could be dying, too. Coils are usually pretty durn reliable, but IIRC don't the DOHC bikes have a bit of an issue losing coils? I could be wrong on that, just throwing it out there really.
I'll try tapping the bowls, but it almost always starts up on two and then I give it a little throttle and all 4 kick in. My coils are from a cbr F3 so i dont think its that. Maybe my plugs are fouled? I took one off and the little elbow was tan, but the ring around it was black.

What did the porcelain on the plug look like. If your elbow (ground strap) is brown that's a pretty good sign of a lot of fuel. Or oil. The black on your threads, was it wet and oily, or dry and flaky?
