Thanks for the info on the CBR Coils.  Was looking at the Dyna 2000, but sound like the CBR coils does the trick.

Re: 1981 CB750 Super Sport

Yes the CBR coils will definitely help, but I found that the 900 spark advancer has also helped tremendously with my bike. I had a sputter in the 2-3k range and now after installing this I do not. If you can get ahold of a MG5(cb1100) advancer i hear they work even better, but for $12 you cant really beat the 900.

Upgrades Thus far:
F3 CBR coils
Procom igniters
438 spark advancer from cb900
front SS brake lines

Still to go:
900 cams
823cc kit... probably more... haha

Dude
Thanks for sharing. I am bidding on coils as we speak, and already have the cb 900 cams.  will start looking for advancer.  Procom igniters?  whats that?
JC

Mine thus far
nissin front master (huge benefit, two finger braking)
progressive front springs.  very well spent money
new rear shocks
76 pilot and 108 main jet
4 into 1 exhaust with baffle
cb 750 engine with 9000 miles on it

to go
engine tweaks
full fairing

Here are the procom igniters

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB650-CB750-CB-650-750-Igniter-Procom-Electrosport-Brand-NEW-Updated-Mod-/111097772697?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19ddf17a99&vxp=mtr

link directly to their website
http://www.procomeng.com/product.php?cat_id=5&brand_id=1&model_id=137

My understanding is that they can build a larger spark faster.

I think the advancer I posted is still up for sale. Its like $6

Re: 1981 CB750 Super Sport

Yup the specific link is this, but that part is still correct just more expensive

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251287938171?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

And no you do not need any other upgrades for the coils to work, in fact you will notice a HUGE difference just with the CBR coils. I have noticed an even greater difference with the spark advancer, coils, and igniters. I use the choke to start the bike and then push it in and the bike stays steady.

Weird, I don't know why that's not working.  Embedding videos has always worked in the past.

I did because that is what the fsm says, but I've heard that it isn't necessary. Just make sure that there is plenty of oil in there before you start rotating the cams.

Hey guys, so much to my own disappointment... I am going to have to sell my bike. I'm going into the fire academy next semester and won't really have much time to work and I'm on my own so... I need a bit of extra cash. I'll still be floating around on the website and hopefully you'll see me with another build thread in about 6 months
