That really sucks that your counter sprocket bolt broke off in the shaft. That's every mechanics nightmare. I truly feel sorry for you. My bikes not running either, I eff'd up my tank myself believing in Caswell tank epoxy. I would do everything possible to get it out without splitting the cases. One time I had a broken off bolt in the ignition on a Yamaha R6, I used a dremel tool and cut a groove for a flathead screwdriver to fit, then heated it up a lot and used cutting fluid to lube the threads. I got it out that way, but the CS bolt has way more torque on it than an ignition bolt.

yeah it was pretty shitty..yeah i tried everything i could think of..it snapped off inside the shaft tho..so i wasnt able to cut a slot for a flat head..ive done that a bunch . i handled it tho..it was kinda fun splitting the cases..i wouldnt worry about the tank..you can use aircraft stripper to get that shit out..then wash it real good a few times with soap and water and have some one tig weld the holes..if you get in good with a local welder, they usually do stuff for pretty reasonable prices if you bring them stuff ready to weld.

Wow! I would have loved to be there when you split the cases! I have never seen that done on a cb750. Does the case on a cb have a gasket, or a bonder? The only one I have done is a Yamaha yz125 and it required yamabond type sealer. It must have been super cool to see what the tranny looked like up close. I better shut up now or Murphy will make me do it ;)

I like those superbike bars. However did, you know that your forks, and wheel are on backwards?

I have that same welder in 110. Mine would not weld, for crap. Turns out it was messed up, and needed new guts. However Miller took care of it no problem. The funny thing is, I asked the salesman if they were reliable, and he said they had never had a problem with them. Go figure.
