lil bit of a deppressing update..i was planning on spending $500 outa this check on my engine.was hoping to get all the machine work done..well my boss shorted me a bunch of hours so i didnt have as much as expected and then the price of an illegal smog has doubled in cali apperantly..it was $100 2 years ago,now its $200 and my tags are $100..thers goes all my money for machine work..im fuckin bummed out..

on a positive note, the carbs are slowly coming apart in that carb dip..only 1 stuck throttle valve to go.and man,the carbs look real nice.that stuff really eats the grease and gunk off..im having trouble with the throttle shaft tho.

i started a thread on the main board about these carbs, but decided to move it over to my build thread.lucky was right about it just being corroded in there..so i guess the trickiest part about getting this throttle shaft out is getting the woodruff keys out(thanks to lucky for the correction)i was calling them half moon thingys.

My dad stopped by today to spray for ants..he does pest control..anyways,he asked me if i want a can of paint thinner one of his customers gave to him.brand new..i was like yeah cool.he brings it out and its a gallon can of paint stripper.not thinner..i was like"score"..and decided to get to work on stripping my frame.i was planning on paying someone to sandblast and powder coat for me,but i think im guna go this route.my buddy bought all the inventory from a local body shop that closed down so he has a bunch of paint.said i can use what i need...heres what i got done today..took about an hour.itll take most of the week to get all those tight areas, but i barley made a dent in that can of stripper.stuff goes a long way.could problty do a couple frames with one can....

Paint stripper is a life saver. Thats a nice solid frame you got there. On that bushing,I think Lucky lost one and replaced it with a teflon bushing. But it it doesnt seem like it has slack ir wobbles around,it'll probably be ok.JMO.Probably wrong
