I am not a believer of monitoring gauges. If you are watching gauges, you are not watching the road. If you want to monitor your charging system, just get an Ohm meter, and test your voltage/charging every time you service the bike.

Hi

With these gauges I disagree

Like having an oil dipstick   You will not check the oil while you ride

That does not mean you will do away with the dipstick and replace it with a simple cap

Checking the volt and amp gauges while idling at your home or at a stop will allow you to avoid a bad situation

High Amp reading and low Volt reading mean bad battery and a charging system trying to charge it

High Amp and Volt readings indicate an over charging charging system frying  the battery alive

A low Amp reading and low Volt reading show  a bad charging system allowing the battery to go weak

Better to have these gauges rather than having a charging issue before the programmed tune up time comes

Charging system failures do not tell you about it untill it is too late

Each to its own  Some guys do not like gauges

Some do not like clip ons, club man bars, rear sets , etc

I understand
