Mounted my front wheel with the duel disck brakes today.
 Then I went to install my new speedometer cable, but did not like how it crossed over the tire from the drive on the right side of the wheel to the speedometer on the left.
  So I did this.

I have ridden with forward controls for years, and have always found them comfortable, and prefer them to any other foot peg placement. I did do some modifications to this set from Cycle One. They stuck out reall far, so I cut the stems down to 3 1/2 inches long. I also did not want to weld the stems to the banana, so I drilled out the stub to 3/8 inch all the way through. I then drilled holes in the bananas and tapped them to 3/8-16 (I know I used standard threads, but I could not find a 5 inch long metric Allen bolt. However I will be on the lookout for some.) I then just bolted the whole thing to the bananas. The other thing I did was cut off the shift lever to a reasonable length, doing away with the dogleg. The brake pedal was so long I had to put my heel on the peg, and tilt my foot to the left to get a good perch on the pedal, so I just tightened the bends up. I made them duplicate the angles on the shift lever. This made the pedal shorter, and moved it to the right. Now it fits my foot a lot better.
